Adobe Photoshop Lightroom for iPhone App Reviews

As a professional photographer, I did not expect much from an iPhone version of Lightroom. However, I was flabbergasted to learn that one cannot add or edit copyright metadata in this app. Instead one is supposed to use the desktop version. That oversight makes the app completely useless to any serious photographer.

What an incredible app!!! I love syncing my LR mobile to my LR desktop. Editing and color correcting the Raw files on my desktop on the go has never been easier!!! Please add controls to input values for exposure, etc. manually in addition to sliders. Please add multitouch support for dodging and burning like my "K" tools at home and this will be near perfect!!

No option to open the app directly into camera mode? Seriously? It seems as though having that function should be an absolute given, especially from a photography based company! Overall the app seems pretty poorly designed. Its not very intuitive at all. Things are just not where you would expect them to be which creates a somewhat awkward user experience. It seems like the designers havent actually used an iPhone before. The filters are great. You do have more control over things than you do in the stock camera app but this app does not come close to several of the other camera apps out there, which is so disappointing. I really wanted to love this app but really cant bring myself to keep using it. Overall, I expected a bit more attention to detail and much more user friendly experience from a company that is created around professional photographers.

Does a great job helping me organize and edit on the go!

The main thing I use LR for is to professionally watermark my photos. It would be amazing to be able to sync selected watermarks from my Mac to my iPhone and apply them to photos directly so I can share out photos immediately.

Light room is very similar to the Apple Photos app. There are a few extra tweaks in light room that make it worth using over the Apple app. Specifically I like the filters and presets of the light room app better than the Apple one. And my photos seem to come out better.

I use Lightroom on my desktop all the time to process and categorize my images. Having Lightroom Mobile on my iPhone and iPad makes my collections available wherever I am. I sync my portfolio so that I can show prospective clients my work no matter where we meet to discuss a possible project. If you use Lightroom, you have to get Lightroom Mobile. It is that good!

On one hand, it blows away my expectations. On the other, it still falls well short of what I hope for. What it is good at are surprisingly capable global edits (extremely intuitive tonal corrections). Where its lacking, however, is in the realm of local edits (spot correction, brushes, etc.). And by lacking, I mean missing completely. (This is where adding this support along with Apple Pencil support for the iPad Pro would be a god send!) Yes, I realize that the Photoshop mobile apps utilize these tools, but Im one who hesitates to leave the realm of Lightrooms non-destructive workflow. Photoshop is always a last resort for me. If I have the option of making spot corrections and brush strokes in Lr, then thats where I make them. Things Id love to see: -Local edits (at least spot healer!) -Apple Pencil support -highlight warnings -curve presets (medium contrast, etc.) -camera corrections (distortion, aberration, etc.) -better noise reduction controls

I edit all my pictures on my iPad now. The interface is incredibly friendly and easy to pick up. Really fun way to do your color grading :)

This is the best editor I have used ever, and Im glad they have adjusted it to be more open to users who dont have Adobe accounts :) (unless, Im unaware that I only have a trial that I dont see anywhere in the settings. Lol)

The app has many edit features of desktop version. More often rate on mobile.

NOPE! Not gonna fall for these tricks that Facebook started! NOT UPDATING ANY APPS THAT SAY "bug fixes" or "were always making improvements" LET US KNOW WHEN THERE IS ACTUALLY SOMETHING WE CARE ABOUT...THIS WEEK!!!!!!! I ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU DID LIST WEEK LIGHTROOM! And thanks, just dont tell me again, its really annoying to get your hopes up for something new, only to find out its a "FAKEBOOK" trick.

Make edits on big screen or laptop, changes sync to phone, save to camera roll and add to Instagram or whatever app needs photos. This is the best photos app for iPhone Ive come across.

As a pro photographer, I use Lightroom Mobile to quickly and efficiently share my work. For an example, a client can review proofs and flag their favorites. My assistant lives 35 miles away, but LR Mobile allows us to collaborate after a shoot. This app is a marvelous tool that greatly streamlines my workflow. Easy to learn and there are TONS of tutorials out there to show you how to get the most from it.

Ive been using PS for 20 years and light room for five but I still cannot figure out how to do half the things I want. The most confounding of all is how to get photos in and out of light room mobile - it needs some sort of dropbox type syncing to your other Mac devices to really be of any particular use. Seems to be fine for displaying files already in your Mac version of LR catalog but you really dont need a special app for that.

It has greatly improved my photo storage and organization. It has also stepped up the quality of my photos.
